Policy on Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome but owners must follow these rules
Dogs must remain on a lead at all times. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule. There are farm animals and small children sharing this space.
Dogs are not allowed on the couch or the bed. If evidence of dog hair is found on either lodgers will be charged a fee £30. If additional cleaning is required due to breaking this rule, the cost of cleaning plus the fine will be the responsibility of the customer.
Dog owners must clean up after their dogs immediately. We are dog owners and understand dogs may have accidents from time to time. If this happens there is a ‘spill kit’ in the bothy and mess must be cleaned straight away including disinfecting. Mess outside must be cleaned prior to departure. Any mess found outside after departure will result in a fee of £30.
Dogs must not be left alone for considerable period of time. Leaving the dog to go for a meal, fine. Leaving the dog to go out for the full day, this is not allowed. Please let us know if this is a situation you were planning and we’ll see what we can do to accommodate.
Children
Children are more than welcome to our Bothy. Here is key information while visiting
There is a sofa bed in the bothy that sleeps 2 adults and certainly 2 children although maybe 3 depending upon size/ages.
We have a double and single airbed if more sleeping arrangements are required (for children only)
For infants, we have various equipment you are welcome to use at no extra charge including 1) a travel cot and 2) a high chair. Please contact us to ask if we have what you need.
There are various board games in the Bothy and a DVD player with a few hundred DVDs (as well as the online TV services such as Netflix etc.)
There is a safe and secure garden are allowing your children to play while you’re also able to keep a close eye on them.
Bothy Home Comforts
The Bothy is fully modernised and furnished with appliances. Below is a full list
Free Wifi - We have a really good internet system at no extra charge.
Free Parking - We have plenty of private off-road parking.
Gas central heating - this operates on a thermostat. Please ensure the heating is low while you are out as we are on bottles. Conservation is key. Please use whichever temperature makes you feel comfortable while you’re inside the Bothy.
Hot Shower - Our gas combi boiler ensures a nice warm hot clean shower from mains pressure. Just what you need after a long day in the hills.
Sleeping beds - There is a master king size bed this is by far the most comfortable bed on the entire property (Including the beds in my main house!) There is also a sofa bed in the main living space.
Kitchen - There is a full fitted kitchen with the following appliances 1) Gas hob 2) Fridge Freezer 3) Sink and washing facility 3) Cooking appliances (See cooking)
Linens - All linen is provided including bedding, bathroom and kitchen linens.

Amenities - The Bothy is stocked with minor amenities such as salt, pepper, sugar, tea bags etc. however please bring your own perishable items. Toilet roll /bars of soap are also supplied, however please bring your own shower gel, toothpaste, shampoo etc.
